Uptown Business Improvement District

Programs Initiated or Supported by the Uptown BID

In general, the Uptown BID outlined in its original ordinance the opportunity to utilize funding for the beautification of common areas, security, marketing, and administration. The resultant programs that have taken place in the Uptown at the direction of the BID include:

  • Annual Chalk Art Festival
  • Winter Wonderland Holiday Shopping Sale
  • Installation and upkeep of holiday lighting
  • Installation and upkeep of murals throughout the Uptown
  • Installation of bicycle racks
  • Installation and maintenance of pedestrian area trash bins
  • Installation of benches
  • Installation of informational kiosks
  • Maintenance and improvements to signage advertising the Uptown Shopping Center
  • Maintenance of a website for the Uptown, advertising businesses and events at the Uptown
  • Maps of businesses and common area features
  • Installation, replacement, and maintenance of tile features on walkways
  • Maintenance and upkeep of common area landscaping
