Adventures Underground was one of just ten Washington businesses awarded a $20,000 grant through the competitive national program, which supports small businesses pursuing growth and innovation.
According to reporting by the Tri-Cities Area Journal of Business, owner Amanda Divine plans to use the funding to support The Looking Glass, a new event space adjacent to the bookstore that will host concerts, performances, gaming events, and other community activities.
Since opening in Richland in 1999, Adventures Underground has become a destination for books, comics, games, music, and community connection. The planned expansion will create even more opportunities for residents and visitors to gather, create, and experience local culture.
Congratulations to Amanda Divine and the entire Adventures Underground team on this well-deserved recognition.
