The City of Richland will host a Funding Opportunities Open House on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. at the Richland Public Library (955 Northgate Drive).
The event is designed to help businesses, nonprofits, community organizations, property owners, and event organizers learn more about several City-administered funding opportunities totaling $2.5 million. Applications for 2027 funding will open between July and October 2026.
Attendees will receive an overview of each program, application timelines, eligibility information, and grant writing tips. Staff from each funding program will also be available for one-on-one conversations and project-specific questions.
The City administers several programs that support business growth, tourism, revitalization, public facilities, and community development projects throughout Richland.
Lodging Tax Grant Program (LTAC)
LTAC provides funding for tourism promotion, special events, tourism-related marketing, and tourism facilities that help attract visitors and generate overnight stays in Richland. Eligible projects may include festivals, destination marketing campaigns, visitor experiences, and tourism facility improvements.
Commercial Façade Improvement Program (CFIP)
CFIP helps commercial property owners and businesses improve exterior building appearance and prevent blight through matching grant funding. Eligible improvements may include exterior rehabilitation, ADA improvements, lighting, windows, architectural features, and other visible upgrades that enhance commercial corridors. The program is intended to support reinvestment and strengthen Richland’s business districts.
Business License Reserve Fund (BLRF)
BLRF reinvests a portion of Richland business license revenue into programs and initiatives that support economic development and strengthen the local business community. Eligible applicants are generally organizations, partnerships, and agencies that provide broad community benefit rather than individual businesses.
Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program provides funding to nonprofit organizations that deliver essential public services and community development activities benefiting low- and moderate-income residents within the city limits of Richland. Funded programs may include food security, youth and senior services, homelessness prevention, job training, health and human services, and other initiatives that address community needs and improve quality of life for eligible residents.
Parks Partnership Program
The Parks Partnership Program supports collaborative projects that enhance parks, recreation amenities, trails, public gathering spaces, and community recreational opportunities. Partnerships may involve nonprofits, community groups, neighborhood organizations, or private partners working alongside the City to improve public spaces and recreational experiences.
